Return and Refund Policy

Thank you for shopping at Afiya Nutrition.

If, for any reason, You are not completely satisfied with a purchase We invite You to review our policy on refunds and returns.

The following terms are applicable for any products that You purchased with Us.

 

Interpretation and Definitions

Interpretation

The words of which the initial letter is capitalized have meanings defined under the following conditions. The following definitions shall have the same meaning regardless of whether they appear in singular or in plural.

 

Definitions

For the purposes of this Return and Refund Policy:

  • Company (referred to as either “the Company”, “We”, “Us” or “Our” in this Agreement) refers to Afiya Nutrition, Gaborone Private Hospital, Gaborone.
  • Goods refer to the items offered for sale on the Service/Digital Educational Material.
  • Orders mean a request by You to purchase Goods/Services from Us.
  • Service refers to the Website.
  • Website refers to Afiya Nutrition, accessible from https://www.afiyanutrition.co.bw
  • You means the individual accessing or using the Service, or the company, or other legal entity on behalf of which such individual is accessing or using the Service, as applicable.

Your Order Cancellation Rights

You are entitled to cancel Your Order within 30 days without giving any reason for doing so.

The deadline for cancelling an Order is 14 days from the date on which You received the Goods or on which a third party you have appointed, who is not the carrier, takes possession of the product delivered.

In order to exercise Your right of cancellation, You must inform Us of your decision by means of a clear statement. You can inform us of your decision by:

We will reimburse You no later than 14 days from the day on which We receive the returned Goods. We will use the same means of payment as You used for the Order, and You will not incur any fees for such reimbursement.

 

Conditions for Returns

In order for the Goods to be eligible for a return, please make sure that:

  • The Goods were purchased in the last 7 days
  • The Goods are in the original packaging

Wrong Item Received

We apologise if you have received the wrong item by mistake. This is not common and we want to resolve this as quickly as possible for you.

To receive a refund or a replacement, you must return the item in the same condition you received it and within 7 days from the day on which you received the item.

 

Damaged Or Faulty Items

Please accept our apologies if you have received an item that is damaged or faulty. We understand how frustrating this can be and want to resolve this as quickly as possible for you.

If you believe that the item is faulty, please contact us. You will need to tell us exactly what the fault is and as soon as possible after discovering the fault and we will advise what to do next.

Item Not Received

We apologize if you have not received your item. This is not common and we want to resolve this as quickly as possible for you.

To receive a refund or a replacement, you must inform us that you have not received your item within 21 days from the day on which you received an email from us confirming that the item had been dispatched.

The following Goods cannot be returned:

  • The supply of Goods made to Your specifications or clearly personalized.
  • The supply of Goods which according to their nature are not suitable to be returned, deteriorate rapidly or where the date of expiry is over.
  • The supply of Goods which are not suitable for return due to health protection or hygiene reasons and were unsealed after delivery.
  • The supply of Goods which are, after delivery, according to their nature, inseparably mixed with other items.

We reserve the right to refuse returns of any merchandise that does not meet the above return conditions in our sole discretion.

Only regular priced Goods may be refunded. Unfortunately, Goods on sale cannot be refunded. This exclusion may not apply to You if it is not permitted by applicable law.

 

Returning Goods

You are responsible for the cost and risk of returning the Goods to Us. You should send the Goods at the following address:

We cannot be held responsible for Goods damaged or lost in return shipment. Therefore, We recommend an insured and trackable mail/courier service. We are unable to issue a refund without actual receipt of the Goods or proof of received return delivery.

 

Digital Services (Online Courses)

We do not issue refunds for digital services/course content once the order is confirmed and the course has been started. A refund is not possible for educational material/course already started.

No refunds are offered on deposits or payments for abandoned or dormant courses/educational material.

 

Digital Products

Afiya Nutrition honors refund request for educational/course material under the following exceptional circumstances:

“Non-delivery of the material – download/access issues due to Afiya Nutrition server problems, issues originated from client’s e-mail service provider or unzipping difficulties. Claims for non-delivery must be submitted within 7 days from the date of the purchase. A course material is considered received and downloaded/used if no claim was submitted. For such requests, Afiya Nutrition may refund within 7 days from the date of the purchase after investigating the claim.

Education Service/Course Material “not as described” – such issues have to be reported within 7 days from the date of the purchase. A detailed, clear evidence must be provided with proof that the purchased and delivered educational content is “not as it is described” on Afiya Nutrition’s website. All objections based purely on the customers’ false anticipations or desires do not meet the requirements for refunds.

Major or Critical Defects – Afiya Nutrition tests every single course/education material before release. However, unforeseen defects can surface from time to time such as loss of sound, poor video content, etc. Claims for such errors must be submitted within 7 days from the date of the purchase. Afiya Nutrition reserves the right to correct such errors within 3 business days. If no remedy is supplied then the customer is entitled to receive a full refund on the purchase the following day.

 

Payment + Refund Policy

All transactions for purchase of intangible products, pdf downloads, course resource material, and online content are made through payment gateways such as PayPal or DPO Group that use SSL encryption.

These payment gateways are safe and secure for using all types of credit cards and debit cards in different countries and your details are not stored during this process.

Since your purchase is a digital product, it is deemed “used” after download or opening, and all digital purchases made on afiyanutrition.co.bw are non-refundable or exchangeable. Since the products made available here are intangible, there is a strict no refund policy.

Afiya Nutrition reserves the right to amend any information, including but not limited to prices, technical specifications, terms of purchase and product or service offerings without prior notice.

The purchase of digital products, including PDF downloads and online educational material is subject to the following terms and conditions. Consumers are advised to review carefully before making any purchase

 

Delivery of Course Content

If you do not receive the online course content/access to educational material upon purchasing, you can immediately contact   info@afiyanutrition.co.bw with your transaction/payment details to ensure your service is delivered as soon as possible.
